Meet Kubana’s leadership and program team

Alison Gaffney is an attorney and partner at Keller Rohrback L.L.P. Her work includes complex litigation involving public health and the environment, including the opioid epidemic, legacy contaminants, and “forever chemicals.”

She has volunteered for 15 years with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, representing clients in asylum and U-visa cases as a pro bono attorney. Before becoming an attorney, she worked as a volunteer coordinator for a Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Her graduate research explored how communities can support immigrant integration.

Alison earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2012, an M.A. in Latin American Studies with a focus on international migration from the University of California, San Diego in 2007, and a B.A. in Linguistics and Languages (Spanish and Mandarin Chinese) from Swarthmore College in 2002, where she was a McCabe Scholar.

Jessica Dunsmore has a background in business and education. She is an avid reader, a lover of learning, and a mother to an awesome eight-year-old.
